Client Testimonials

Abbie & Stoddie

"Harmony is a fantastic celebrant, it was such a pleasure to get to know her ahead of our wedding and she took a lot of time to really get to know us. This allowed her to produce a script which was so detailed, personal and also funny. She delivered this with such passion it was an absolute pleasure having Harmony lead our ceremony. We would 100% recommend her to anyone looking for a celebrant who can make your day feel really special"

Rachel & David

I can't recommend Harmony enough. We had the most perfect day renewing our wedding vows and it's all thanks to Harmony. We didn't really know how we wanted the day to be but with Harmony's help it was better than we thought it would be. Harmony was always available if we had any changes to make and was as enthusiastic about our celebration as we were. Thanks for making our day so special x

Bethan & Paul

Harmony put across our story to our friends and family with an engaging and loving tone. She encouraged us to produce meaningful vows that we were confident to share. The whole process of working with Harmony brought out the best in both of us by building our confidence and helping us reflect on our journey. We would highly recommend Harmony Celebrant and guarantee she will enhance your wedding experience in every possible way. Thank you xxx

What are our options when choosing the type of Ceremony we have?

Until more recently, most couples had two main choices — a religious ceremony or one led by a registrar.  If religion plays an important role in your life, choosing a religious leader and place of worship is often the best fit. For those looking for a non-religious option, registrars are commonly used to carry out legal marriages. A registrar is a government official assigned to your ceremony. You're unlikely to meet them beforehand, and they’ll often be conducting several weddings on the same day. Both religious and registrar-led ceremonies must follow strict legal rules, so you're limited in terms of structure, wording, and what you can include. And because they’re legally binding, they must take place in a licensed venue. Celebrant led ceremonies are growing fast in popularity and it's easy to see why! They are the fresh, modern way to say, “I do”, giving  you the freedom to have a ceremony that’s completely personal, meaningful and authentic. No set scripts, no restrictions — just a beautiful celebration in any setting you choose, with words, stories, and moments that are just right for you.

What is a Celebrant?

I create and deliver ceremonies free from any legal or religious restrictions, so you get free reign over your structure, content and location. When getting married by a Celebrant in England and Wales, the legal part is handled separately by a registrar. Couples often choose to arrange the legal section prior to their big day, for a small fee, at a registry office. The other option is to include the registrar at the start of your ceremony, on your big day, as it’s short and formal, so it leads seamlessly into your personalised ceremony. I have the privilege of writing and conducting a bespoke, meaningful ceremony that reflects your individual personalities, beliefs and wishes. With me as your Celebrant, you are completely free to have everything exactly as you want it. Your ceremony can be anything from romantic and traditional, to completely wild and unconventional!! The world’s your oyster! Your ceremony will be exactly as YOU want it, completely unique and absolutely beautiful! It can take place anywhere you like: maybe you envision a woodland, a stunning outdoor landscape, a sunset beach, a local village hall, a grand hotel, a stately home or even in a lovely family back garden – whatever you want let’s make it happen!

When Should We Arrange the Legal Part?

That’s entirely up to you! Most couples choose to complete the legal formalities either before, after, or even on their big day — whatever feels right for you. One popular option is to visit your local registry office for a short, simple legal ceremony (often referred to as “doing the paperwork”). Many couples don’t consider this their actual wedding — just the official bit. Alternatively, if you're marrying at a licensed venue, you can arrange for a registrar to attend and complete the legal part at the start of your celebration. This flows seamlessly into your celebrant-led ceremony.  Whichever route you take, your celebrant- led ceremony remains the true heart of your day — beautiful, personal and meaningful.

Where Should We Hold Our Ceremony?

Anywhere you wish! Whether your dreaming of a romantic beach sunset, an intimate garden gathering, a breath-taking clifftop or mountain view. Is it the peace and greenery of a forest glade, a cosy village hall, restaurant or local pub that’s attracting you? Perhaps it’s a boho-style tepee, an elegant marquee, a rustic barn on a farm with hay bale seating that’s more your thing? A stylish hotel ceremony room, a lakeside setting, a majestic historic castle, a boat on the water, a museum, even a theatre stage or music festival with your guests on picnic blankets — the possibilities are endless & the choice is entirely yours. Pick your favourite spot and let’s make it happen!

How Long Will Our Ceremony Last?

Normally they are between 20-30 minutes, depending on your preference and whether or not you are having a registrar conduct the legal side as part of your ceremony. Your wish is my command! I can make yours as long or as short as you’d like, and I can most certainly advise on what’s best to keep everyone engaged and happy!

Can We include Religious, Spiritual and Cultural Aspects in Our Ceremony?

Yes, you can absolutely include spiritual, religious and cultural aspects in your ceremony should you wish! Maybe you hope to include elements that recognise different traditions and or embrace the bringing together of different faiths. You have the freedom to incorporate anything that’s significant to you, so you can have as many or as little of these features as your heart desires!

Let’s make your ceremony one to remember with total freedom to celebrate your love in your style!!
